Sugar mill workers to get bonus, gratuity

Chennai: Tamil Nadu govt has announced a bonus and gratuity for labourers and employees of the cooperative and public sector sugar mills. According to a statement, there are 16 cooperative sugar mills and two public sector sugar mills in the state. Chief minister M K Stalin announced that the sugar mill workers would receive a bonus. Consequently, the workers of the Subramania Siva and Kallakurichi 11 cooperative sugar mills will receive a bonus amount of 20%, while the remaining cooperative sugar mills and public sector mill workers will receive a bonus of 10%. As many as 5,775 workers will receive a bonus and gratuity amounting to 412 lakh, the release added. tnn
