New Delhi, September 25, 2026: Dhanuka Agritech Limited has launched Polin, a new-generation fungicide for paddy crops aimed at controlling Leaf Blast and Neck Blast diseases in rice. The product has been developed through Dhanuka’s technical collaboration with Japan-based Nippon Soda Co. Ltd. (NISSO) and is being positioned as a new solution for managing rice blast during critical crop growth stages.
Polin is powered by KINOPROL Technology and features a novel DHODHI mode of action classified under FRAC 52. According to the company, the fungicide combines translaminar and systemic mobility, allowing it to penetrate plant tissues and protect unsprayed portions of leaves as well as newly emerging plant growth. 
Dhanuka said Polin is recommended at a dose of 100 ml per acre in 200 litres of water. The fungicide is designed to provide residual protection when applied at the first signs of infection. The company said its extended protection window can help reduce the frequency of fungicide applications, potentially lowering labour and chemical costs for paddy farmers.
The product has been launched in various parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, where Dhanuka has also started farmer awareness programmes focused on the effective management of Leaf Blast and Neck Blast in paddy.
Commenting on the launch, Rahul Dhanuka, Managing Director of Dhanuka Agritech Limited, said Polin brings patented Japanese chemistry and a new mode of action for rice blast management. He said the product is aimed at providing durable protection against blast and helping farmers reduce repeated spray costs.
Dhanuka said it plans to introduce more crop protection solutions in the coming months. The company has more than 46 years of experience in India's crop protection and crop care sector and offers products aimed at supporting crop productivity and farm profitability.
