Eight cooperative sugar mills from Uttar Pradesh have been honoured with National Efficiency Awards for their outstanding performance in sugarcane development, technical efficiency, financial management, sugar recovery and overall operations. The awards were presented at the National Efficiency Awards Ceremony organised by the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd. (NFCSF) at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
The NFCSF presents these awards every year to recognise cooperative sugar mills across India for excellence in different areas of operations. The awards aim to encourage better efficiency, financial performance, technical improvements and effective management in the cooperative sugar sector. 
Among the awards announced for 2024-25, The Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sneh Road, Najibabad in Bijnor district received the prestigious award for Overall Best Cooperative Sugar Mill for its performance across various parameters. The Sarju Cooperative Sugar Mill, Belrayan, Lakhimpur Kheri was recognised for excellence in sugarcane development, while The Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gajraula, Amroha received an award for improvement in sugar recovery. Baghpat Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited, Baghpat was honoured for outstanding performance in financial management.
Four other cooperative sugar mills from Uttar Pradesh were recognised in the awards announced for 2025-26. Ganga Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Morna, Muzaffarnagar received the award for sugarcane development. Ramala Cooperative Sugar Mill, Ramala, Baghpat, and The Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sathiaon, Azamgarh were honoured for outstanding technical efficiency. The Kisan Cooperative Sugar Mill, Powayan, Shahjahanpur received the National Efficiency Award for excellence in financial management.
The recognition highlights the performance of Uttar Pradesh's cooperative sugar mills across key operational areas. Following the achievement, Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, Minister of State Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Additional Chief Secretary Veena Kumari Meena, Sugarcane Commissioner Ministi S., Managing Director of the Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation Mangla Prasad Singh and Joint Managing Director Amrit Pal Kaur congratulated the management and employees of the award-winning sugar mills.
