Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane Development Department has launched the village-wise sugarcane survey and cane slip (satta) verification campaign for the 2026-27 crushing season across 45 districts. The drive, which will continue until August 30, 2026, aims to ensure accurate farmer records and transparent sugarcane procurement before the upcoming crushing season.
The department has urged sugarcane farmers to actively participate in the verification process and immediately report any discrepancies in their records to avoid problems during cane supply.
Survey to Cover More Than 41,800 Sugarcane Villages
According to the department, the campaign will be conducted in 41,818 sugarcane villages, where farmers will be able to verify details related to their sugarcane cultivation, cane reservation (satta), bank account, mobile number, land records, cultivated area and other important information.
To complete the exercise efficiently, the government has formed 4,294 survey teams, which will visit villages and assist farmers in checking and updating their records.
Verification of 63 Farmer Record Points
Officials said that farmers will receive information on 63 different data points related to their sugarcane survey and cane reservation records. During the verification process, land ownership details recorded in the revenue department will also be matched with sugarcane department records to ensure accuracy.
If any error is found, farmers can immediately register their objections so that corrections can be made before the crushing season begins.
Online and On-the-Spot Grievance Redressal
The Sugarcane Development Department has arranged both online and on-the-spot grievance resolution throughout the campaign. Dedicated complaint redressal centres have been established at the district, regional and state levels to resolve farmers' issues quickly.
Farmers can also register complaints through the toll-free helpline 1800-121-3203 for any survey-related problem.
Membership Applications Open Till September 30
After completion of the village survey, eligible farmers who are not yet members of their respective sugarcane cooperative societies can apply for membership until September 30, 2026 by submitting the required documents to their concerned sugarcane society.
The department believes that accurate farmer data and timely corrections will help ensure smooth cane procurement, transparent payment processing and efficient planning for the 2026-27 sugarcane crushing season.
