Dwarikesh Sugar Mill, Faridpur, has launched its monsoon sugarcane planting campaign in Jaitipur, Bareilly, with a focus on encouraging farmers to adopt scientific farming practices and use improved sugarcane seed varieties. The campaign was inaugurated on Wednesday evening at 6 pm in Pariyuna Tatrabad village of the development block area by Sovinder Singh, Chief Cane Manager of the sugar mill.
While inaugurating the campaign, Sovinder Singh urged farmers to complete monsoon sugarcane planting on time and use high-quality and improved seed varieties. He said that adopting modern agricultural practices and following the technical guidance provided by the sugar mill can help improve both sugarcane yield and crop quality, ultimately contributing to higher farm incomes.
Singh also encouraged farmers to follow scientific methods of sugarcane cultivation, including the use of improved planting material and recommended farming techniques. He highlighted the importance of timely planting and proper crop management to achieve better productivity and ensure a healthy sugarcane crop.
Regional Manager Vijay Shankar Singh informed farmers about various schemes and technical services being provided by Dwarikesh Sugar Mill. He urged growers to make maximum use of the support and technical guidance available through the mill’s cane development programme. He also encouraged farmers to increase the area under sugarcane cultivation and administered a pledge among farmers to expand sugarcane planting.
Several officials from the sugarcane department, including Amit Yadav, Anupam Mishra, Dinesh Kumar and Varun Pratap Singh, attended the programme. A large number of farmers from the surrounding area also participated in the campaign.
The monsoon sugarcane planting initiative is aimed at improving sugarcane productivity in the region by promoting timely planting, improved varieties and scientific cultivation practices. Through such farmer outreach programmes, Dwarikesh Sugar Mill is focusing on strengthening cane development, improving crop quality and supporting higher incomes for sugarcane growers.
