Udghosh ’24: Celebrating Sports, Culture, and Entertainment from October 4–6, 2024
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is excited to announce the 20th edition of Udghosh ’24, one of India’s leading intercollegiate sports festivals, scheduled from October 4 to 6, 2024. Inspired by the legendary Olympic Games, this year’s event promises an extraordinary blend of sportsmanship, culture, and entertainment.
Udghosh ’24 will feature a wide range of competitive sports, including cricket, football, badminton, chess, and the latest in e-sports. The festival is set to host over 3,000 participants from 500+ colleges, competing in approximately 80 events across 25 sports disciplines.
Prof. S Ganesh, Officiating Director of IIT Kanpur, emphasized, “The scale and enthusiasm of Udghosh ’24 are reminiscent of the Olympic spirit. Our athletes are eager to make their mark, and I sincerely thank everyone who has worked tirelessly to bring this event to life.”
Beyond sports, Udghosh ’24 will offer attendees an array of cultural and entertainment activities, including Comedy Nights, Bollywood Nights, and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Nights. The festival will also feature rap shows, magic performances, fire shows, a silent disco, and prom nights, ensuring continuous excitement throughout the event.
