The Board of Directors of Magadh Sugar & Energy Limited, at its meeting held today, November 11, 2024, has, inter alia, considered and approved setting up of a 100 KLPD greenfield multi-feed distillery with steam saving at Hasanpur Sugar Unit, at an estimated cost of Rs 206.87 crores. The project will be funded through a mix of debt and internal accruals.
The company has informed exchanges, period within which the proposed capacity is to be added is by March 2027.
This project is being announced in line with the Central Government’s strong focus on the Ethanol Blending Program (EBP) and the availability of feedstock near the Hasanpur Unit.
