The 10th edition of CII SugarTech 2024, a flagship event of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), took place at the Vrindavan Yojana Grounds, Lucknow, on 16 November 2024. This highly anticipated conference brought together key stakeholders from the sugar industry, policymakers, technology innovators, and global leaders to address pressing challenges and explore future opportunities.

Shukla (Additional Cane Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh), Dr. Rasappa Viswanathan (Director, Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research), and Mr. Karamyog Singh (DGM, Mahindra & Mahindra), shared actionable strategies to enhance sugarcane productivity while promoting environmental stewardship.

Session 2: Diversification Strategies in SugarTech

The second session explored opportunities to expand beyond traditional sugar production by unlocking the bioenergy potential of sugar byproducts. Industry experts discussed the transformation of sugarcane into biofuels, biochemicals, and renewable energy, with presentations by Mr. Digvijay Singh (DGM, ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd), and Mr. Vipin Malhotra (Senior General Manager, Green Power International).
