Farmers in Deoria staged a strong protest on Saturday demanding the immediate reopening of the Baitalpur Sugar Mill. The demonstration was organized under the banner of the “Chini Mill Chalao Sangharsh Samiti.”
A group of farmers gathered and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister through the local administration. In the memorandum, they urged the government to take immediate steps to start operations at the sugar mill.
Farmers said that the reopening of the mill is crucial for the region’s sugarcane growers, as it would ensure timely cane procurement and help support the local agricultural economy. They appealed to the state government to intervene and ensure that the mill becomes operational at the earliest.
