Speaking at the inauguration of the four-day national MSME Expo at Ramna Maidan here, Shahnawaz said northern India’s largest ethanol plant with a capacity to produce 4 lakh litres of ethanol per day would be inaugurated in Bhojpur in March.
He added three more ethanol plants – two at Gopalganj and one at Purnia – would also be inaugurated soon. The minister said Centre has approved setting up of 15 more ethanol plants in Bihar.Shahnawaz and Awadhesh Narain Singh, acting chairperson of Bihar legislative council, jointly inaugurated the expo organised by Bhojpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Awadhesh said Bhojpur has tremendous potential for setting up agriculture-based industrial units.
