Andhra Pradesh: Kribhco to set up Bio-Ethanol project at Sarvepalli in Nellore district

TIRUPATI: Tirupati MP Dr M Gurumoorthy along with APIIC and AP industries department officials met Union minister of state for Chemicals and fertilizers Bhagawanth Khuba at New Delhi on Tuesday.
The Union ministry of chemicals and fertilizers has directed Kribhco to establish a Bio-Ethanol project at Sarvepalli in Nellore district within the next six months.
Formal approvals have been accorded by the ministry for establishing the Bio-Ethanol project at Sarvepalli.
Tirupati MP Dr M Gurumoorthy thanked union minister Bhagawanth Khuba for approving the Bio-Ethanol project to be grounded in the Tirupati Parliamentary constituency.
This Bio-Ethanol project will bring in the much needed investments to this region besides providing a plethora of employment opportunities to the local youth.
APIIC had allotted 289.81 acres of land to Kribhco to establish a plant for manufacturing phosphates and DAP (Fertilizer) plant with an investment of Rs.700 crore. Though the land was handed over to Kribhco in 2015 itself, the project hit a road block due to logistics and other related issues.
After being elected as Tirupati MP, Dr M Gurumoorthy during his recent review with Kribhco and APIIC and industries departments, asked them to come up with alternate proposals to establish a viable project at the site allotted to Kribhco at Sarvepalli, following which the idea to establish a Bio-Ethanol project surfaced.
Following a series of communication and meetings held by Tirupati MP Dr M Gurumoorthy with the union minister of state for Chemicals and fertilizers Bhagawanth Khuba, the formal approvals have been accorded to Kribhco to establish the Bio-Ethanol project at Sarvepalli.
Dr M Gurumoorthy thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, industries minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy and union minister Bhagawanth Khuba for according the necessary approvals for establishing the Bio-Ethanol project at Sarvepalli in Nellore district which is expected to generate employment opportunities for the local youth besides bringing in the much needed investments to this region.
