Sarabjit Singh Saini, Unit Head of Dhampur Bio Organics sugar mill located in Meerganj, has appealed to farmers in the region to increase sugarcane cultivation.
He said the mill is offering subsidies on sugarcane seeds to encourage farmers to expand their sowing area. According to him, the initiative aims to support farmers and ensure adequate availability of sugarcane for the upcoming crushing season.
Saini explained that the mill has made arrangements to provide high-quality sugarcane seed at subsidised rates, allowing more farmers to benefit and increase their crop production. He also urged farmers to take advantage of the scheme and plant more sugarcane to improve both farm income and raw material supply to the mill.
The mill management believes that higher sugarcane cultivation in the region will help strengthen the local sugar industry while also boosting the income of farmers.
