Amit Shah launches cooperative projects worth ₹265 crore in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched and laid the foundation for cooperative sector projects worth ₹265.30 crore in Gujarat. The projects were unveiled during a meeting of cooperation department ministers from all states held in Gandhinagar.

According to an official statement, Shah inaugurated a newly built ethanol distillery plant at Nandod in Narmada district. The plant, set up by Shree Narmada Sugar Industry Cooperative Society, has been constructed at a cost of ₹40 crore. Along with this, a 30 MW power co-generation plant and an organic potash plant were also inaugurated at the same location.

In Anand district, Shah inaugurated a modern warehouse and a whey protein concentrate powder plant at Khatraj, developed by Amul (Kheda District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union) at a cost of ₹75 crore.

Additionally, foundation stones were laid for new warehouses at the APMCs in Savarkundla and Patan.
