Dwarikesh Sugar to Hold Annual Meeting on August 19; Reports Tough Year, But Remains Profitable

Dwarikesh Sugar Industries will hold its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 19, 2025, at its registered office in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Alongside this announcement, the company also released its 2024–25 Annual Report, highlighting both challenges and achievements over the past year.

Performance Overview (FY 2024–25):

  • Revenue dropped by over 20% to ₹1,359 crore due to reduced sugarcane supply and a major cane disease (red rot).

  • Profitability took a hit, but the company stayed in the black, with a net profit of ₹23 crore and an EBITDA of ₹120 crore.

  • The EBITDA margin fell to 8.82%, and sugar production was significantly lower at 2.1 lakh tonnes, down from 3.3 lakh tonnes the previous year.

  • The company also generated 2,070 lakh units of power and worked with 1.45 lakh farmers over 0.92 lakh hectares.

Financial Health:

  • Net worth stood at ₹673 crore.

  • Interest coverage ratio remained healthy at 4.9.

  • Average debt cost improved to 3.15%.

  • The debt-equity ratio was reduced to a strong 0.18, showing better financial stability.

  • The company is replacing diseased cane varieties to recover production levels.

  • Invested ₹3.05 crore in CSR projects focused on education, healthcare, and farmer support.

  • Maintained a strong credit rating from ICRA.
