Bareilly Deputy Sugar Commissioner Inspects Sugar Mills in Pilibhit, Verifies Sugar Stocks

Pilibhit: Bareilly Division Deputy Sugar Commissioner Rajesh Kumar inspected the L.H. Sugar Mill in Pilibhit and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Mill in Barkhera as part of the government’s ongoing verification of sugar stocks following a recent rise in sugar prices. During the inspections, officials verified the sugar stored in the mills’ warehouses against official records and reviewed details related to sugar lifting.

The inspections were carried out after the state government directed the Cane Development Department and other concerned departments to conduct checks at sugar mills following a sharp increase in sugar prices. The exercise is aimed at verifying the physical stock of sugar available at mills and matching it with their recorded inventories.

During his visit to the L.H. Sugar Mill in Pilibhit, Deputy Sugar Commissioner Rajesh Kumar inspected the sugar stock stored in the mill’s warehouse and cross-checked it with the relevant records. He also sought information from mill officials regarding the lifting and movement of sugar and issued necessary directions to the management.

Following the inspection at L.H. Sugar Mill, Kumar visited Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Mill in Barkhera, where he conducted a similar verification of the available sugar stock and checked the records maintained by the mill.

The inspections form part of the state government’s wider monitoring exercise following the recent increase in sugar prices. Officials have been directed to regularly verify sugar stocks at mills and ensure that records accurately reflect the physical inventory.

District Cane Officer Khushiram, the General Manager (Cane), the Senior Sales Manager and other officials were present during the inspections. The department is continuing to monitor sugar stocks and related activities at sugar mills in the region.
