Balrampur Sugar Mill's owner Padma Shri Meenakshi Saraogi passes away

Balrampur Meenakshi Sarvagi passed away at the age of 76 years. There is also a wave of grief among the people of the area including sugar mill employees on demise. In view of the Kisan Seva, padma Shri and Lifetime Achievement Award were received. Her husband died in October.

In Uttar Pradesh, padma Shri Meenakshi Saraogi, a successful woman of Balrampur Sugar Mill (BCM), popularly known as sugar mill mistress, passed away at the age of 76 years. Her demise is also a wave of grief among the people of the industry including sugar mill employees. Originally from Kolkata, the wife of Balrampur Sugar Mill founder Kamal Nayan Saraogi, Meenakshi Saraogi was a successful female entrepreneur.

In 1975, she took over as director general of Balrampur Sugar Mill. Under her proficient leadership, there are ten sugar mills and other factories from this group today. Meenakshi, popularly known as mill mistress, was also friendly to the farmers as well as the farmers. In view of their kisan seva, padma Shri and Lifetime Achievement Award were received. Her husband died in October.

On his demise, officers and staff at Balrampur and Tulsipur Sugar Mill complex paid homage to the condolence meeting. Employees and farmers including Executive Chairman Praveen Gupta, GM HR Rajiv Agarwal, Vinod Malik, SD Pandey, Shyam Singh, SP Singh expressed grief. In Tulsipur, unit head Yogesh Kumar Singh, finance general manager Rajan Rai, sugarcane general manager RP Shahi, administrative manager Ashish Pratap Singh condoled the loss of grief.

Caravans spread across several districts:

Balrampur Sugar Mill was established by British India Corporation (BIC) in the year 1932-33. After the 2013,000-100-year-on-day, the police had been in the court. On 14th July 1975, Balrampur Sugar Mill was transferred to Saraogi family. In the year 1975, late Pananlal Sarvagi, the father of late Saraogi, commanded balrampur sugar mill. After late Pananlal Saraogi, his son, Kamal naayan Saraogi and his wife Meenakshi Sarvagi took over. In their hard work and combination, the caravan of Balrampur Sugar Mill today extends to Gonda, Faizabad, Barabanpur, Anbedkarnagar and Lakhimpur Khiri districts. After taking the last breath of Meenakshi Saraogi, born in the industrial city of Kanpur on March 5, 1944, the entire sugar mill has now come over to his son Vivek Saraogi.
